Hello there, horror fans!
We just thought we’d let you know that Antagonist will be at GDC Play this year in the Moscone Center North Hall, booth #418, debuting the brand new demo of our game, Through the Woods.
In case you didn’t know, Through the Woods is a third-person psychological horror game set in a forest on the western shore of Norway about a mother and her missing son. Through dynamic narration, you play the mother’s re-telling of the events surrounding her son’s disappearance in a setting heavily influenced by Norse mythology and Norwegian folk tales.
In Through the Woods, we are attempting to capture the forest as we saw it as children, with all the frightening and mysterious feelings of roaming the woods alone. This is coupled with a poignant story and high quality sound design that acts as a core mechanic in the darkness of the forest.
So, there’s our little promo description of the game. We’ll be at the stand all day from Wednesday morning until the show closes on Friday at 15.00 and we just can’t wait to start showing off the build. We still have around a year left of development and we’d love to start getting feedback from the press and the public, so if you think our game sounds interesting, please come and say hello.
If you are a member of the press interested in checking out Through the Woods but are short on time, you can swing by the stand and pick up a copy of the game loaded onto one of our awesome Antagonist business card flash drives.
We will be sporting spanking new Through the Woods t-shirts designed by Stian, one of our artists, and modelled with grace and poise by our programmer, Torstein, in the video below. If you see one of us in these t-shirts around the conference, please come and talk to us.
So, there you have it. We really hope you can make it over to our booth over the next few days and that you have a great time at GDC either way.
See you around the conference!
